Professional Body Membership
Students who have successfully completed the Part I, Part II & Part III of the CPA programme and have minimum three years' work experience in accountancy or a closely related field will be eligible for membership in the Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA), UK at Associate (AFA) level. - Details
The IFA is a full member body of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). In 2015, the Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA) UK amalgamated into the IPA Group, IFA members now automatically receive complimentary equivalent IPA membership. Associate (AFA) members of IFA (UK) will get the full membership (MIPA) of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA), Australia without any further expenses.
IPA have mutual membership recognition agreements with the below full member bodies of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC):
- Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of India (ICMAI)
- South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA)
AFA/MIPA members of the IFA & IPA are recognised by the UK's Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) for admission to CISI's full membership (MCSI).
Students who have successfully completed the Part II Post Graduate Diploma in Income Tax Management and the Part III Post Graduate Diploma in VAT Management of the CPA programme will get Associate Tax Adviser (ATA) designation from the IFA (UK) and Associate Membership (AIPA) of the IPA (Australia)
